Product Overview

The BIQU B1 3D Printer offers a large build area of 235 mm x 235 mm x 270 mm for printing large objects and a flexible steel plate heated to 275 ºC for durability. It features a resolution of 0.05mm and can print at speeds up to 100mm/s, making it one of the fastest and most precise desktop 3D printers on the market. Plus, it uses Bowden extruder, which means that the filament is fed into the hotend by a long tube instead of being pushed directly by the extruder motor. This allows for faster printing, as well as more precise control over the amount of material laid down in each layer. The BIQU B1 also offers an optional BL-Touch build plate leveling system for maximum printing accuracy and reliability.

BIQU B1 Specification

Overview

There's a Bowden extruder inside.

This Bowden extruder means that the extruder is mounted on the frame of the actual printer rather than the tip. The filament then travels through a PTFE tube to reach the hot end, and out onto the print.

Performance

The printer can use MK8 nozzles.

The usable filament diameter is a 1.75 mm diameter.

There are 1 extruders in the printer. Having more than one extruder attached to the printer can help you print material faster, as the printer can focus on multiple elements at once.

The recommended maximum printing speed is 100 mm/s. This printing speed can affect the quality of the print, so make sure this speed falls within ranges you would like.

You'll get a 235 mm x 235 mm x 270 mm in the BIQU B1, so make sure everything you want to print fits in this. You can make do by making your print in pieces, and then assembling, however, sometimes you'll just need a larger build area.

The build plate is made from Flexible Steel Plate.

The Biqu B1 isn't just great for the price; it's great, period. It prints reliably, and it's easy to operate. Although it needs some construction, the build guide is comprehensive and everything is well labeled, so any skill level should have no issues putting it together.

The Biqu B1 is brimming with possibility, thanks to an accommodating mainboard with ports to spare for added functionality, including near plug-and-play auto-bed leveling. Paired to great print quality (provided the printer doesn’t throw you curveball, as it did with us), and it’s every bit the upgradable machine you could hope for. We never got quite comfortable enough with it to queue up a print and walk away, but others’ mileage may vary. A feature-rich desktop 3D printer with bags of potential to upgrade as you see fit.
