Anycubic Photon Mono X was inexpensive when it was first released, and it's only getting more affordable. At most, you'll pay around $759 from Anycubic's online store. That's a decent price for the Anycubic Photon Mono X given the capabilities, size, and quality of the product.

AnyCubic's latest Photon Mono X is a large scale LCD-Based SLA 3D printer. Not only does it offer one of the largest print areas for this style of machine, but coupled with the new Wash and Cure unit available separately or in a bundle, this combination offers a huge technological leap forward for home and small business SLA printing.

The elephant in the room of course, is the price. Compared to the Photon Mono 4k’s $289, the Photon Mono X is normally a whopping $759 (though is currently on sale for the excellent price of $429 at the official store). For that increase in price, you’re getting a ton more space to print on, higher detailed prints, remote control, increased safety features, better quality LCD screen, and faster print times. With that being said, Anycubic always has great sales throughout the year, and especially around Christmas time. Even with the holidays over, you can snag the Photon Mono X for $429 during their Winter sale! That’s an amazing deal if you’re looking to upgrade your printing space. You don’t even need to necessarily be a veteran printer to pick it up. Our assembly and printing process was much the same as it was for the Photon Mono 4K, and that experience was extremely beginner-friendly.

The AnyCubic Photon Mono X breaks new ground, pushing down the cost of SLA printing to a new low. It does so without making too many compromises: printing remains a slightly messy business that occasionally fails, but once you get used to the Photon Mono X (and buy a mask and a big box of disposable gloves), it is generally hassle-free and fast. SLA printing is definitely still a process that requires patience, though, as some prints from the Photon Mon X failed and require alteration and re-printing. I would also recommend that you buy the Wash and Cure Plus, as it makes the rather icky business of cleaning and curing SLA prints much easier. Combined, the two cost less than $800 and can produce large, high-quality prints at a faster speed than most of the competition. The Form 3 remains the SLA printer to get for professionals who need to do a lot of heavy-duty printing, but the Photon Mono X is an excellent option for at-home work by hobbyists or those curious about 3D printing.

The Mono X is a fantastic mid-sized resin 3D printer capable of some beautifully detailed prints. It offers a great balance between size and cost but needs a bit of fine-tuning to get it perfect.
