This printer seems too unreliable to be a good purchase

The da Vinci 1.0 Pro is a subpar machine that appears to be very flimsily constructed, with this model being cut from the review after breaking and needing to be exchanged for a new model three times. We got a few prints out of it and evaluated them but we would strongly caution against selecting this model.

Good for large prints on a budget...but calibration can be a headache

With a modest price, a large build volume, the ability to print with multiple filament types as well as third-party filaments, and Wi-Fi as well as USB connectivity, the XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro is for people looking to upgrade from an entry-level 3D printer to an intermediate model. Although it is capable of high-quality printing, in our testing its print quality proved inconsistent, and the oft-onerous calibration process was a frequent source of frustration.

Good Prints, Disappointing Scans

The XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro 3-in-1 packs a lot into its large case, and the 3D-printing and laser-etching features of this do-it-all device work fairly well. Though it's slow, the 3D printer produced decent 3D prints at all but the smallest layer height, and the laser etcher produced nice, clean etchings on soft materials. However, we were disappointed by the lackluster performance of the 3D scanner, which produced scans that were missing parts and lacked detail and could not scan many common materials, such as glass, glossy metal and very dark objects.
